Project Tumaini

Empowering Kenya's Youth

Project Tumaini wants to spread our message of hope and compassion. We believe that a single action can make a difference in a community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach activities, our team works with our Kenyan partners to make a difference in the lives of Kenya's most vulnerable youth.

Current Projects

  • Education Sponsorship Program

We believe the way to help empower Kenya's youth is for them to receive a high school education which is not free in Kenya.  Our Kenyan partners will identify students in need of financial support to attend secondary school.  As of January 2023, we have 27 students in the educational sponsorship program.

  • Vocational Sponsorship Program

We believe the way to help empower Kenya's young adults who did not have an opportunity to to receive a high school education is for them to receive vocational training.    This new initiative had two young women enrolled into programs as of February 2023.

“I have the audacity to believe that peoples everywhere can have three meals a day for their bodies, education and culture for their minds, and dignity, equality, and freedom for their spirits.”
